June & 4th of July

Jon & Josiah playing at "Jungle Bungle" in the mall. One of the few indoor activities available. We went several times in the weeks before we left for the summer.

Other than packing and getting ready to travel the main reason I was behind on blogging- chicken pox. Eliana had them and then Josiah got them too.

Eliana is now sitting up on her own! She started the beginning of June

Another trip to Jungle Bungle with friend Hamoody. I think the dads are too big for the cars, huh?

Finally! Josiah in the water and kicking with the kick board. But no flotation suit.

July 4th- brisket, ribs, potato salad, baked beans, apple (& blackberry) pie AND watermelon. And when we eat watermelon we eat it in big chunks.

Cousins

We did sparklers in the front yard and fireworks on the street. Aunt Gen is a pro. Notice Eliana screaming- she was tired and didn't like the loud sounds. They didn't bother her at first but by this time she'd had enough.

Josiah loved it. He managed to get a little too close to the sparkler and had a small burn on his face.
btw- it's the weekend after July 4th and as I post this I can still hear people shooting off fireworks.
