Sitting up
Josiah has been under the weather for the last few days. Yesterday afternoon we tried to put him down for a nap. After about 20 min we realized he wasn't going to sleep. He hadn't been crying- just making playing noises and obviously not sleeping. So I went in to get him. I distinctly remember putting him down laying down on his belly so I was quite surprised to see him sitting up in bed! I didn't know he could do that. Maybe it's time to start raising the side rail on the crib.
Yesterday evening was hard. Josiah was obviously not feeling well. He didn't want to eat, didn't want to sleep and was only content being held. He didn't go to sleep until 9:30 (normal bedtime is about 7:30). He woke up every 2-3 hours last night. It was a long night for all of us! Jon took him this morning after I fed him at 6 and I got to sleep. After playing with him for a while he put him back to bed and we all slept until 9:40 AM. I feel better & I think Josiah is feeling better but Jon's tired! Today is our day of worship here but we decided to stay home & get some rest.
Some future day we will tell Josiah how we stayed up all night with him. He'll probably appreciate it as much as we did when our parents told us that! (Thanks to Grammy & Granddad & Nana & Grandpa for all the sleepless nights with us.)
